As a voice teacher, Gloria is committed to helping each student find their own voice and developing its purity and power.

For contact information see the CONTACT page.

I have been teaching voice in New York since 1989. My background covers the operatic, concert, musical theatre and cabaret styles. I have worked with actors, dancers and singers at various levels of vocal ability. Musical theatre, opera and cabaret are the styles most common to my studio.

About four times a year I hold master classes so that my students can work in conditions of a supportive audience - to help them prepare for auditions and performances.

I will help you find appropriate material to sing and develop an individualized program of study for you, taking into account your unique physiology, background and goals in order to create the proper path of study for your unique needs and desires.

Knowing how difficult it can be to find the right teacher, with no obligation, I encourage you to take a first lesson and understand that "shopping around" is sometimes necessary before making a decision.

TESTIMONIALS

"My experience with Gloria has been truly transformational. She is everything one wants in a teacher. She is intelligent, thoughtful, well-organized, supportive, and patient. She has a perfect balance of standards and kindness. She is both specific in her physical descriptions of how a sound should be produced and gifted in her creative metaphors that yield the desired results. And, she is excellent company. Gloria found in what I thought was a one octave low alto range, a dramatic mezzo just waiting to be liberated. I cannot believe how much improvement there has been.

I hope to continue studying with Gloria for a long time, and recommend her most highly."

"Whether you have been secretly singing in your shower or have already sung on Broadway, you can count on Gloria to meet you where you are and move you on to the next level (and the next several levels as you continue to study).

Gloria has tremendous patience and insight, and because she has knowledge of the voice and its mechanism, she can work with both men and women and with various voice types from Broadway "belters" to "legit" singers.

Being a performer herself, Gloria understands the vulnerability a singer feels when putting their voice “out there”, consequently she treats her students with total respect and always offers positive support. Studying with Gloria can be a life lesson as well as a voice lesson... Happy singing!!"
